Good deal on annual plan

I was looking for some good online courses for graphic design and found Skillshare. I saw they had a 40% off annual membership deal which seemed like a pretty good saving compared to paying monthly. The signup was straightforward, and I jumped into a few Graphic Design Courses right away. It felt worth the purchase, especially getting access to so many classes for that price. I'm definitely getting my money's worth.

Learned a lot, simple process

So I finally decided to try out Skillshare after my friend kept talking about it. I got the Skillshare Premium Membership and honestly, it was pretty easy to get started. I did a couple of those Video Editing Tutorials and some Social Media Marketing classes. Everything just clicked, you know? The videos played fine, no weird glitches or anything. It was just a chill way to learn new stuff without any hassle. Felt good.

Hey guys, thinking about signing up for Skillshare. What's the deal with the free trial? Is it really free or do they sneak in a charge?

D David Walsh 2 months ago
It's genuinely free, but you do need to put in your payment info to activate it. Just remember to cancel before the trial ends if you don't want to get charged.

Yeah, I did the 30-day trial last month. No hidden charges, just gotta cancel through your account settings if you don't want to continue.

I saw something about a 40% off annual membership. Is that still active or was it a Black Friday thing?

P Phil 2 months ago
Those big discounts pop up pretty often, not just Black Friday. I got a similar deal back in September. Keep an eye out or sometimes they offer it after you sign up for the free trial.

Yeah, I think I saw a 40% off link recently. They seem to cycle through different promotions. You might find a referral link from an instructor that gives you a good deal too.

Wondering about student discounts, do they have one for college students?

W Wendy Lindqvist 2 months ago
Yep, they do! I got a pretty sweet discount with my student email. Check their site, there should be a link for it.

I think it's like a 50% off the annual plan for students, which is pretty good if you're planning on using it a lot.

Hey, what happens if I sign up for the premium and decide it's not for me? Is it easy to cancel or do they make you jump through hoops?

M Mike A. 2 months ago
Canceling is pretty straightforward. I did it once, just go to your account settings and there's a cancel membership option. No big deal.

Super easy to cancel. Didn't have any issues. Just make sure you do it before your next billing cycle if you don't want to get charged.

My promo code isn't working at checkout. Is there a trick to it, or are some codes just for new accounts?

P Phil 2 months ago
Most promo codes are for new members only, especially the ones for annual plans. If you already have an account or previously had a trial, it might not work.

Yeah, if it's a code from a referral or a big discount, it's almost always only for first-time users. Also, check if it's expired or if you typed it correctly.
